Hush Puppies

Unfortunately up here in the NORTH people do not serve Hush Puppies. I however am serving homemade hush puppies at my BBQ's. My question is how well do homemade hush puppies hold up if you freeze the batter prior to big events. I have never done this and was just wondering if anyone would have a better understanding to this question. PLEASE RESPOND!
